Born in Cairo, Egypt, Michael lived in Paris before immigrating to the US. He grew up in the Midwest and was raised by parents of Mediterranean multi-national background and in an Orthodox Sephardic home. He attended the University of Kansas, where his majors were architecture and political science. Michael enjoys photography, the arts, travel, architecture, volunteerism, and community activities.
