Merle Martin is a Broker Associate with over 20 years of experience in the industry. She specializes in residential real estate, especially the marketing and selling of single-family, multi-family, condominium, and rental properties. Merle has also served multinational companies in assisting in the transferring of employees coming into to the metropolitan area. Her skills are enhanced by her prior work experience as an attorney, law school instructor, and vocational counselor, and she considers herself a problem-solver, facilitator, and educator.

Merle is a graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI), a program of the National Association of Realtors®, and has earned numerous industry certifications, including Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Fine Homes Specialist. She has also earned the Christie's 2020 and 2021 Luxury Specialist Designation. Merle has received numerous local and national sales awards over the years, and has served her local real estate community by serving on a number of committees for NJ REALTORS®, including Education, Grievance, Realtors® Political Action Committee.

With her varied background and her affiliation with Christie's International Real Estate, Merle is able to leverage the strength of Christie's unparalleled corporate marketing resources and superior customer service to assist clients throughout the real estate continuum. In her spare time, Merle volunteers with local non-profit organizations, including serving on the board of HOMECorp (providing and advocating for affordable housing), and working with HUMANEMontclair where she was chairperson of its annual ad journal and membership directory for several years. Merle also volunteers with a local pediatric rehabilitation center. She received her bachelor's degree from Beaver College and her law degree from New York Law School. Merle and her family were long-time residents of Montclair, along with their menagerie of dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, hermit crabs, and a garter snake, before recently downsizing to Essex Fells.
